B-Movie Monday: Italian Post Apocalyptic Smackdown!

I broke down and got a print copy of Mutant Future. This, and the fortunate watching of Thundarr the Barbarian while eating pizza at CiCi's Pizza restaurant inspired this trailer collection. I give to you one of my favorite movie genres, the Italian Post Apocalyptic movie.

David Zuzelo on his blog Tomb It May Concern has one of the best essays on the Italian Post Apocalyptic genre here. And he has some great reviews in the book that he wrote called Tough To Kill Volume 1 - The Italian Action Explosion. Check it out!

Now on to the trailers!

The New Barabarians AKA The Warriors of the Wasteland

One of the greatest cheesefests of all time: Bruno Mattei's Rats: Night of Terror

The Bronx Trilogy trailer featuring the work of one of the great directors of Italian action films, Enzo Castellari:

And no Italian Post Apocalyptic Movie discussion woud be complete without some Yor the Hunter from the Future!

Have a great Monday!

The Return of B-Movie Monday: 1990 Horror Films!

In honor of my 20 year high school reunion (Go Milwaukee Tech Trojans!) this past weekend, here are some good (and not so good) horror movie trailers. All of them were released in 1990.

I've never seen this one but heard it's good:

A B-flick I really like featuring the funny Peter Riegert, the late Alexander Godunov, the hot Joan Severance and the "whatever happened to him?" Chris Young.

Lotta spoilers in this one folks, but it has work by Dario Argento AND George Romero!

Vacation was way too short but I ate too much, got sunburnt, hung out with family, and had a great time!

But the reason why I'm here is:

The boys at AntiPaladin Games have put up a cleaned up and expanded edition of their variant Open D6 game Mini Six called the Mini Six Bare Bones Edition. It's free and available for download at their website at:

ON VACATION!!!!!

For all the folks who check out my blog while wandering through the RPG Blogosphere, I'm going on vacation starting this Tuesday afternoon and I'm off for an entire week! Got nothing planned but visiting family out of town (my second home town Winneconne, Wisconsin). Oh, and the Wisconsin State Fair on August 11.

So if you stop by, look around, enjoy my writing, enjoy some B-Movie Mondays, and I'll see you late next week.
